What happens next

Once you’ve connected an exchange or submitted a wallet signature, Scrya does the rest. Here’s what you’ll see, and the few cases where you need to act.

After connecting an exchange

Scrya checks your balance straight away. If it works, you’ll see Exchange Connected, and the row changes to Verified with your Verified balance. You don’t need to do anything else.

If the exchange refuses the key, the form stays open with a message saying what to fix. Correct it and click Connect exchange again. See Troubleshooting.

After submitting a wallet signature

  1. Scrya checks your signature straight away. If it matches your address, you’ll see Ownership Verified, and the window moves to Monitoring progress. You can click Close. The rest carries on in the background.
  2. The address row shows Monitoring and counts down the time left, for example 23h 41m remaining.
  3. Scrya reads the balance from the public blockchain, usually within 15 minutes. When it’s read, the row changes to Verified and shows Address Verified with the Verified balance.

If the signature doesn’t match, or the message expired before you submitted, you’ll see Verification Failed instead, and the row shows Failed with the reason. Click Start new verification and sign a fresh message.

Where a price is available, the balance also shows an approximate US dollar value “at verification”.

Need to change something? While a row shows Monitoring, click Recall submission to withdraw it. You can then submit different details.

Row shows Expired? Scrya couldn’t read the address’s balance within 24 hours. Click Start new verification to reset the address, then sign a fresh message.

When the whole request is done

Each request shows how many of its addresses are verified, for example 2 of 3 verified.

  • While some, but not all, addresses are verified, the request shows In Progress.
  • When every address is verified, the request becomes Verified by itself. It moves to Recent requests for 7 days, then to Closed requests. It’s read-only from then on.
  • Once at least one address is verified, you can click Complete request to finish early. This locks the request, so you can’t add or change anything afterwards.
  • Cancel request stops the request. You can’t undo this from your portal.
  • If every address has a result, at least one shows Failed or Expired, and nothing changes for 7 days, Scrya closes the request as Failed or Expired. Start again on those addresses before then if you still want to verify them.

Emails

  • When your first-ever verification completes, Scrya emails you: Welcome to Scrya - Your first verification is complete!
  • For a request a business sent you, the person who sent it is emailed each result. When every address is verified, they also get a verification certificate (PDF).
  • If a wallet verification expires, the business is emailed. You’ll see the Expired status in your portal.
  • If part of a request is still waiting for you 7 days after the business sent it, Scrya emails you one reminder. It lists the holdings you haven’t started.

For anything else, check your portal.

Do I need to do anything else?

Usually not. Check back if:

  • a row shows Expired or Failed
  • a request shows Action needed

See Troubleshooting for what to do.
