Verification certificates
A verification certificate is a PDF record of what Scrya verified for a customer. It shows each holding and its balance at the time of verification. You can download one from the request page, and Scrya emails a copy when every holding on a request is verified.
Download a certificate
- Go to Requests and open the request.
- On the Verification Request Details page, click Download Certificate (top right).
- The button shows Preparing… while Scrya builds the PDF, then your browser downloads it.
The button only appears once at least one holding on the request has been verified. Until then, there’s nothing to certify.
The file is named Scrya-Verification-Certificate-<certificate number>.pdf.
What the certificate contains
- Summary. Certificate No., Prepared For (the customer), Requested By (your organisation), Request Status, Holdings Verified (for example “2 of 3 assets”) and Latest Verification.
- Verified Holdings. One row per holding, with:
- the asset and network
- the method: “Signed wallet” or ”
· read-only API” - the wallet address, shortened (exchange holdings have no address)
- the balance at the time of verification
- the USD value at that time, and when the balance was taken
- Holdings that aren’t verified show their state instead of a balance: Not yet verified, Monitoring in progress, Verification failed or Monitoring expired.
- Document fingerprint (SHA-256). A digest of the certificate’s contents.
- Footer. The request ID and when the PDF was generated.
Some older verifications don’t have a USD value.
Each download is built fresh, so the generated time and fingerprint change every time you download. The certificate number comes from the request and the year the PDF was generated.
The emailed certificate
When every holding on a request has been reviewed, Scrya emails the team member who created the request. If every holding verified, the certificate PDF is attached to the first approval email, so you get one copy per request.
No certificate is attached if any holding was rejected. You can still download one from the request page, and it will show which holdings verified.
Troubleshooting
- No Download Certificate button. No holding on the request has been verified yet. Check the request’s status.
- “Couldn’t create the certificate”. Try again. If it keeps failing, contact support and quote the ERR reference shown. See Error references.
- The approval email had no attachment. Either a holding wasn’t verified, or the PDF couldn’t be built at the time. Download it from the request page instead.
