Notifications and emails
Scrya keeps you and your customers up to date in two ways: in-app notifications for your team, and emails at key points in a verification.
In-app notifications
The bell icon in the top bar shows notifications for Business Admins and Business Users. A badge shows how many are unread.
Scrya creates a New Verification Request notification for everyone in your team when a verification request is created for your organisation. That includes requests your teammates create and requests your customers send you. If you’re signed in when it arrives, a pop-up also appears.
- Click the bell to see your 20 most recent notifications.
- Click a notification to open its request. This also marks it as read.
- Click the tick on a notification to mark it read, or Mark all read to clear them all.
Read notifications are deleted after 90 days. All notifications are deleted after 12 months.
Emails
| Email (subject) | When it’s sent | Who receives it |
|---|---|---|
| You’re invited to verify your assets with organisation | You invite a customer, or create a request for a customer who hasn’t been invited yet | The customer |
| Organisation has requested asset verification | You create a request for a customer who has already been invited. It includes your Message to customer. | The customer |
| Reminder: organisation is waiting for your asset verification | 7 days after you create a request, if the customer hasn’t started at least one of its holdings. Sent once. See Reminders and expiry. | The customer |
| Welcome to Scrya - Your first verification is complete! | A customer’s first holding is verified | The customer |
| Welcome to Scrya - You’ve been invited to join organisation | A Business Admin invites a team member, or uses Resend Invitation | The team member |
| Verification approved for customer: asset | Every holding on a request has been reviewed. You get one email for each verified holding. If all verified, the certificate is attached to the first one. | The team member who created the request |
| Verification rejected for customer: asset | Every holding on a request has been reviewed. You get one email for each rejected holding. | The team member who created the request |
| Verification failed for customer | Verification of a holding fails | All Business Admins and Business Users |
| Verification expired for customer | A holding’s monitoring period ends before it’s verified. See Reminders and expiry. | All Business Admins and Business Users |
| Invitation to email bounced | A customer or team invitation you sent couldn’t be delivered. | The person who sent the invitation |
The invitation emails tell recipients their link expires in 24 hours. Scrya also sends account emails, such as password resets and email-change confirmations.
Mixed results arrive as separate approved and rejected emails.
Can recipients opt out?
No. Scrya’s emails are about specific invitations and verifications, so they have no unsubscribe link, and there are no email preferences to change. Scrya doesn’t send the customer reminder to an address where an earlier email bounced or was marked as spam. You also can’t turn off in-app notifications, but you can mark them as read.
Troubleshooting
- An email didn’t arrive. Check the spam or junk folder. Ask your IT team to allow email from Scrya’s sending address.
- An invitation bounced. Check the address for typos, correct it and send the invitation again.
- The bell isn’t showing anything. Notifications only cover new verification requests. Other events are sent by email only.
