Managing users
Business Admins manage who in your organisation can use Scrya. Sign-up is invite-only: nobody can create a Scrya account on their own, so every team member starts with an invitation.
To see your team, go to Settings and open the Users tab. Business Users can view the list, but only Business Admins can invite or change users.
Invite a team member
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Click Invite User.
- Enter the person’s First Name, Last Name and Email.
- Choose a Role: Business User or Business Admin. See Roles and permissions.
- Click Send Invitation.
The person gets an email with a link to set up their account. The email says the link expires in 24 hours. When they open it, they enter their name and a password, agree to the terms, and click Create Account.
If the invitation doesn’t arrive and the person already uses Scrya with that email address, for example as a customer of another business, contact support.
Seats
The License Usage card shows how many users you have against your limit. Everyone with an account in your organisation counts, including people who haven’t accepted their invitation yet.
When you reach the limit, Invite User is disabled. Scrya sets your user limit. To add seats, contact support@scrya.io. See Plans and billing.
Change a user’s name or role
- In the users list, open the actions menu (⋯) on the user’s row.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Update First Name, Last Name, Display Name or Role.
- Click Save Changes.
Your organisation must always have at least one Business Admin. To demote the last admin, promote someone else first.
Resend an invitation or reset a password
- Open the actions menu (⋯) on the user’s row.
- Click Resend Invitation or Send Password Reset.
- Click Send to confirm.
These options don’t appear on your own row. To reset your own password, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.
Deactivate or remove a user
To take away someone’s access, contact support@scrya.io.
Troubleshooting
- The invitation didn’t arrive. Ask them to check their spam folder, then use Resend Invitation. If the first invitation bounces, Scrya emails you. See Notifications and emails.
- “User limit reached”. You’re at your seat limit. Contact Scrya to add seats.
- Other errors. If you see an ERR reference, quote it to support. See Error references.
